    Katryna is a master’s level Graduate Student from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she is earning her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is supervised by Jane Kong LPC-S. Katyna earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.

    With a passion for holistic care, Katryna believes that the mind and body are connected, and both contribute to a person’s mental wellbeing. This approach guides her practice where she utilizes a person-centered approach tailoring interventions to the needs of the client. Katryna provides child, adolescent, and family therapy for children 6 years of age and up. She has worked with children and their families affected by eating disorders at various treatment centers in DFW for the past 3 years. She currently runs the ARFID program at Children’s Health in Plano. Prior to that Katryna worked with children and their families with autism in a behavioral setting.

    By engaging the whole family in the therapeutic process Katryna believes therapy can support everyone. She assists families with improving communication, resolving conflicts, and supporting each other. Katryna has training in cognitive behavior therapy, DBT skills, ACT, mindfulness, play and activity therapy as well as tele-mental health. Katryna’s areas of expertise are working with clients with eating disorders, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD , autism, school readiness, behavioral concerns, parenting support, coping skills, group counseling, anxiety, and depression.
