Jennifer Estrada, MT-BC, M.S., LPC-Associate, Supervised by Jane Kong, LPC-S

Jennifer is dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with empathy, insight, and evidence-based care. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, and is passionate about helping clients build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
Jennifer also completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Therapy at Texas Woman’s University where she completed more than 1,200 clinical hours through practicums and a clinical internship. Jennifer then passed a national board exam administered by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT), and continues to maintain certification through ongoing continuing education. As a Board Certified Music Therapist, Jennifer’s therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, and tailors each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. Jennifer believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful change.
In addition, Jennifer is a provider for the Family Tree Program, a free short-term counseling service for Denton and Dallas County residents with children 6-17 yrs old.
She can accept Cigna and Aetna. She is available both in person and via telehealth, seeing individuals ages five and up with late afternoon, evening, and weekend appointments available.
