• Ethel Wandeka, Graduate Intern Therapist Supervised by Jane Kong LPC-S

    Ethel Wandeka is a graduate intern therapist at Meltzer Counseling supervised by Jane Kong LPC-S. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She provides a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

    Ethel works with children (ages 7 and up), adolescents, and adults, and has experience supporting clients presenting with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and substance use-related issues.

    Her clinical approach is client-centered and culturally responsive, incorporating evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, as appropriate to the client’s needs. Ethel focuses on helping clients build coping skills, emotional regulation, and insight to support meaningful growth and emotional well-being. She has five plus years clinical experience as a neuropsychological test administrator and a lecturer.
