Amari Simoneaux, Masters Level Graduate Intern supervised by Jennifer Jobe LPC
Amari has nearly 20 years of experience in the sports performance and coaching industry and is now pursuing her Masters in Professional Counseling at Amberton University. She firmly believes that every client is unique and that collaboration is helpful for one’s growth and wellbeing. She views counseling as an empathetic exploration of both conscious and subconscious thoughts and feelings, resulting in a deeper awareness and empowerment for the client. She meets each client where they are at and understands that no two are alike. This allows Amari to utilize a range of therapeutic techniques including DBT, CBT, Relational, and ACT. She enjoys working with individuals ages 15+ who are tackling anxiety, depression, self acceptance, LGBTQIA matters (including sexual identity/ expression/ orientation), women’s specific issues, eating disorders, self harm, trauma, and PTSD. Amari has a reduced fee and is available both in person and via telehealth. She has availability throughout the day including evening and weekend appointments. Amari looks forward to hearing from you.
