Lauren Chastant, Masters Level Graduate Intern, Supervised by Stephanie Greenberg MS, LPC, LCDC

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and is working toward a Master of Education in Counseling and Development at Lamar University. Over the years, like most people, Lauren has experienced the highs and lows of life. She has, thankfully, also experienced firsthand the powerful positive impact counseling can have on individuals and families. As such, Lauren has a deep desire to support children over the age of 12, teens, and adults, who are experiencing difficulties that interfere with the lives they want to live. Lauren has experience and a passion for serving individuals and families struggling with developmental, physical, emotional, or other disabilities. She is also an LGBTQ+ ally, familiar with issues related to foster care and adoption, and understands the impact of trauma on our lives.
Lauren strongly believes in the power of vulnerability, authenticity, and grit – all of which are needed to implement change in our lives. Lauren values kindness, empathy, compassion, and honesty and as your counselor, will come alongside you to offer acceptance, guidance, accountability, and encouragement as you take steps toward healing.
Lauren’s therapeutic approach is holistic in that she believes looking at the whole of a person’s life is key to uncovering the root causes of issues and discovering ways to move forward. Utilizing evidence-based techniques from various practices like Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Lauren seeks to create a safe space in which positive growth can occur.
Lauren can offer a reduced fee and is currently available during the evening and weekends both in-person and via telehealth.
