• Asra Jaffar LPC Associate supervised by Don Zablosky

    Asra is is a graduate of the University of North Texas at Dallas Masters of Science in Clinical mental Health Counseling. Asra completed a Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Child Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has about 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various professional settings from diverse cultural backgrounds.

    Asra spent five years teaching 6th grade and during this time she saw a high need of students struggling with identity and social emotional learning throughout the journey of pre-teen and adolescence. She brings a wide array of experience serving as a mentor, a Sunday school teacher, volunteering at Equest to help children and adults through equine assisted activities and therapies, and interning as a school counselor at both elementary and high school levels. Through these experiences, she has found a passion to help others learn and grow.

    Asra believes in providing her clients a safe space to share their thoughts and emotions without judgment. She understands the power of being heard, understood, and accepted. Asra believes empowering her clients through self-acceptance, encouragement and providing skills such as mindfulness and other evidence-based techniques to help clients achieve their goals. She will value your unique experience and is ready to meet you where you are to guide you through your journey.

    Asra has reduced fee appointments and is available both in person and via telehealth. She has immediate availability throughout the day including evening and weekend appointments.
